TAMPA –Makenzie Cole doesn’t have to worry about heading to a library if she wants to check out some books for reading time.

All the Walden Lake Elementary second-grader has to do is sit at a computer and log on to a website where she has access to a cornucopia of reading materials.

“This is an incredible project,” said Todd Brekhus of Capstone Digital, which has created the “Read on myON” online library, funded mainly by the Hillsborough County school district with contributions from community partners. “Imagine 2,600 books on her lap.”
